    Frogs fighting fungus

Horrible fungus that has killed so many frogs in both the wild and captivity, this fungus popped its ugly head up some years ago. Scientists are now finding wild frogs are fighting the fungus and are becoming resistant to it. https://www.livescience.com/63752-frogs-coexist-chytrid-fungus.html

Terminology: "Super High White" vs. "High White" vs. "White Collar" vs. "White Wings" vs. "Green Collar"

This animal though, I have always been a bit stumped as to what to call her. I do consider her a white collar however she does have a bit of flecks here and there missing. I however wouldnt argue with someone if they said nope thats a partial collar also, because it also isnt quite perfect

Terminology: "Super High White" vs. "High White" vs. "White Collar" vs. "White Wings" vs. "Green Collar"

This animal I think is a great example of what a non green collar animal looks like. Because you can see much of his pattern has large green patches, the bit on his neck/shoulder area is not a "collar" but simply an extension of his green pattern.

Terminology: "Super High White" vs. "High White" vs. "White Collar" vs. "White Wings" vs. "Green Collar"

Here is a few examples of what I mean of partial/broken white collar, although the one has a full break, I feel the white is so significant that for me it would be a partial or a broken white collar term

Terminology: "Super High White" vs. "High White" vs. "White Collar" vs. "White Wings" vs. "Green Collar"

I am late to the party! I like to think of white collars along the line of what people consider pinstripes in crested geckos, you have a full pin stripe, and a partial pinstripe. With white collars I would consider: Take this animal for example. It clearly has a white collar, but is it full or...

Pricing and Value Related to Chahoua

So can I ask with your general outline, you say unsexed but my question is, what weight? I ask this because it can take a while as you know for color to set in on these guys. So would you say this general guideline you use for yourself pertain to animals at 8-10g, or more for 10-15g animals? My...

Line Breeding - Yes or No, Horror Stories, etc.

We had discussed this years ago when the debate of ML having underbites as a genetic issue vs nutritional issue. Many years ago I went to a local universities "herp lab", almost all of their chahouas had underbites. They were claiming them all to be PI however many exhibited physical traits most...

Hatchlings - how do you keep them?

I keep my hatchlings in 6qt containers with a plant and cork bark. Also give them a small dish of moss. If I am keeping them I upgrade them to the extra small all access containers at around 8g, and they stay in there until 15-20g. Housed the same way just with more cork bark, and still a small...

    Deepest darkest secrets...

OK so not really secrets but I want to see your darkest geckos, I'm talking ones with little to no color. Not necessarily high white, I just know I have seen a few that have so much of the more natural pattern they have little to no additional color. I want to see those if you have them!

How to establish boundaries as a breeder without being a jerk

In this case what I would do if you offered a discount then they indicate well they will let you know in a few days, tell them this. The discount that you offered is only available until X time. This way a week down the road they don’t come back sniffing around at buying it when you could have...

    Popular Baby Food Flavors

My gang love apple, and stone fruit the most (apricot, peach, nectarine, fresh white flesh nectarine is loved), melon, fig, mango, and I will make them a goji berry reserve sometimes which they really love. Anymore I offer it with Pangea and add extra calcium to it, or herpevite to it. In the...
