One bad egg, one good egg

In my experience, the moldy egg should become pretty wet and decompose a bit, making it easy to pull off the healthy egg. If it doesn't pull apart easily, I would cut it off indeed :)

In-Tank Incubation / Will Chahoua Eat Their Offspring?

I'll admit that I had one instance a few years ago where I walked into my gecko room to see two little babies in the corner of an adult tank, much to my surprise. I use bioactive vivariums so I always knew there was an outside chance it could happen, but I was surely shocked when it did! Here is...

    Gecko Laying Habits

That is a REALLY great strategy... I might try this, because getting eggs off cork bark can be literally impossible.

    Cage aggression

Thank you so much for joining and participating! One of the hard things about social media conversations is that there's really no record or library for people to reflect upon and research. The forums provide a great, usable place to share knowledge, do research and create more of a community...

(CNN) Snakebites: The hidden health crisis that kills 200 people a day

Snakebites kill more than 200 people a day around the world, but Thai firefighter Pinyo Pookpinyo was one of the lucky ones. When the tip of his thumb was bitten by a king cobra, he made it to a Bangkok hospital within 15 minutes. There, he was given a serum that stopped the venom, which can...

Eurydactylodes Agricolae vs. Vieillardi in Photos

I went through and uploaded several old videos to my Youtube account last night, including this one: I remember that for a few years, some folks had a lot of trouble breeding vieillardi... is that still the case? I had a lot of success and had them coming out of my ears at one point. They're...

To Leachie or not to Leachie... that is the question.

Well I got pooped on for the first time last night. She's so little that I didn't even really notice until I was trying to figure out what smelled like old eggs 😳 Overall, she's cute and I'm enjoying her so far. Her name is Pickly Lizzy "Lizard" McGuire, as named by my coworkers. Ha!

Roll Call: Tinley NARBC - Oct 12-13, 2019

I'm curious who is planning to attend Tinley this year... any members here? I've never been before but was thinking of attending, mainly to see some old friends and meet some of my "online" friends who I haven't had the pleasure of meeting in person. I think it would also be fun since our...

What are some of your other hobbies (aside from reptiles)?

I know we're an eclectic bunch here, so I'd love to know what everyone does in their free time ASIDE from reptiles. I have three dogs who eat up a lot of my time. I treat and feed them like family (raw, human-grade food). I also love to hike, fish and be outdoors. Gardening and taking care of...

    Egg Incubation Medium & Methods

This is an older video, but I still use Super Hatch and basically place eggs the same way. Only difference is the use of an incubator to manage temps and times :) I remember years ago when the SIM incubation containers came out... has anyone tried those with Chahoua? I have a feeling chewies...

What fruit diet are you currently feeding your chahoua?

I haven't used Clark's in ages... out of curiosity, where did you get it and how did they like it? I feel like I used to get it from someone named Patrick Parapara, or something?

PI or Mainland, Does It Really Matter Anymore?

So Grand Terre then has both the M. Chahoua and M. Jalu species present, whereas the Isle de Pines may have only M. jalu OR a completely new species? So this indicates that everyone who has been saying "Mniarogekko Chahoua" has animals that come from Grand Terre? Because I feel like I've seen...

    Mainland/GT Appreciation Thread!

I wish the pet shops over here sold Chahoua! I'd have gotten into them a lot sooner! She's a cutie :)
