Late Bloomers - Is It Male or Female?

It is a total female. She ended up laying her first set of infertiles about a month ago.

    Chahoua Trios? 3-ways? 3 Somes?

That is a great question. I would also like to know if chahoua are known to retain sperm for multiple clutches or an entire season. Are there any experienced breeders out there who can answer this question?

Late Bloomers - Is It Male or Female?

I have never seen the pores broken either, that's why it is so strange.

Which incubator are you using ?

I turn the fan off every now and then. I may run it for a few days or a week, then have it off for a few days. I guess I coukd always put it on a timer if I wanted to. That might be a good idea. How does one use a raspberry pi as the controller? Would that be the thermostat? I am interested to...

White Collar Chahoua vs. Green Collar Chahoua

Exactly like that! The white just disappears and it looks like a different gecko.

Late Bloomers - Is It Male or Female?

Well as of right now I can't confirm. Could be a hermaphrodite 😂. I am honestly leaning towards female at the moment just because the lack of the bulge for its weight and age. I guess time will tell. The "Hot Female" is a really interesting concept. It seems possible that somewhere along the...

White Collar Chahoua vs. Green Collar Chahoua

I dont have anything helpful to add at the moment, but will be sure to keep this in mind and observe it in the babies I hatch and raise. I do have a high white baby with stark white marks and a high white baby with more cream colored marks. Both are from the same parents. I will keep an eye on...

Which incubator are you using ?

I went the cheaper route and built my own incubator using an old mini fridge. I say it was cheaper because I had already invested in a Herpstat 2 for other reptile stuff and already had a heat mat. What I ended up doing was gutting the fridge. Taped a heat mat on the bottom and back of the...

    Chahoua Trios? 3-ways? 3 Somes?

Thanks for your update! I took those things into consideration when this was first posted and you gave your two cents. Glad I did. This year I just decided to keep the females separate and rotate a male between two of them. So far it seems to be working. He was with female 1 for about 3 weeks...

Late Bloomers - Is It Male or Female?

I have a chahoua that is about 1.5 years of age and weighs around 60 grams. I bought this gecko as unsexed and have raised it since it was maybe 15 grams. From the time I have had it, I regularly louped the Chahoua to try and sex it. Up until about a month or so ago, I had thought it was 100%...

    Picture Thread: 2019 Babies!

The first two chahoua have hatched here at Dragonborn Exotics. These two are offspring of Tsunade and Obito. They hatched out at around 4.1 & 4.2 grams after 118 days. The pictures I wanted to post won't upload, so these will do.

To Leachie or not to Leachie... that is the question.

That's great news! My leachies really seem to prefer the fig and insect diet above all the others I use.
