DNA tests can be done using mitocondrial or nuclear tests. Nuclear test is very high priced, but with a simple mitocondrial you can put the described M.jalu DNA of 2012 A.Bauer et al. Samples and your animals in confront, If they are equal, so it's M.jalu . We can not do that for PI, because...

This is mine. You may have seen it few times on FB groups. It's a GT animal of unknown lineage. 3 years old, unfortunately I had no babies from him yet. The best troeger I paired with him this year made only bad eggs.... will se next year

Only a "external looking" will never be able to tell if an animal is a PI or GT or M.jalu. This is the actual final point of the topic... How can you tell if this is a PI or GT for example???

So, the REAL first animals came from GT , with traking on locales : LaFoa,Sarramea,Mt.Mou (central-north). M.jalu , never had is own trak locality, because of the recent classification (Bauer et.al 2012), so we will never know IF and HOW MANY M.jalu we have in hobby, even IF hybrids occours...
